College and university tours
Geared specifically toward college and university students, in-person or virtual tours foster high-level learning and discussion of the Museum’s collection, special exhibitions, social themes, and professional pursuits. Alternatively, students are welcome to explore galleries independently, and museum educators are here to help create specially themed visits.
Guided visits
Join a tour that applies object-based inquiry and close looking to expand learning outside the classroom.
Self-guided visits
If guided tours aren’t your thing, explore the galleries independently. Simply email tickets@brooklynmuseum.org with your planned date and time, number of students and staff, and the collection or exhibition you hope to see.
Virtual gallery visits
If a trip to Brooklyn isn’t in the cards, take a virtual gallery visit. This is not just another Zoom session. The Museum’s hour-long online tours use images from the exhibitions and collections, and groups can select a specific theme or focus.
Our philosophy
The Brooklyn Museum provides learning experiences that are intimate, dialogic, and reflective.
We want educators to use the Museum to enrich their courses and teaching goals.
