Internships and fellowships

    Get hands-on experience—and get paid. The Brooklyn Museum offers a wealth of opportunities for those seeking exposure to art, education, curation, and other aspects of museum work.

    Qualified candidates from all backgrounds are welcome to apply. Museum experience is not required. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic to learn and eager to build connections with a diverse, lively community.


    Opportunities for adults

    Adult paid internships and fellowships are for undergraduate and graduate students, recent graduates or those with commensurate experience, or adults who are not enrolled in higher education. Note: To be considered for a position, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

    Museum Education Fellowship Program

    Education Fellows participate in a rigorous museum education training program, including hands-on workshops and reading discussions.

    Adult paid internships

    Interns are paired with a supervisor and integrated into Museum departments, participating in day-to-day workplace activities and projects with the guidance of full-time staff.

    Opportunities for teens

    Teen paid internships allow young people to work with Brooklyn Museum staff in a variety of exciting and educational capacities. These opportunities support youth leadership, critical thinking, and creative expression.
