Virtual Member Coffee Chat: Monet and Venice
Members: Get a sneak peek at our forthcoming exhibition Monet and Venice in this virtual coffee chat with curator Lisa Small. In this special conversation, she will share the journey of bringing this exhibition to life—from uncovering the story behind Monet’s 1908 visit to Venice to shaping how his vision of the city is presented today.
New York’s largest museum show dedicated to Monet in over 25 years, Monet and Venice will feature more than 100 artworks, books, and ephemera. Two iconic masterpieces, the Brooklyn Museum’s own Palazzo Ducale and The Grand Canal, Venice from the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, will be presented alongside selections from throughout Monet’s career, including 19 of his luminous Venetian paintings.
