Stop by the Museum’s lobby for performances by some of the city’s most acclaimed jazz musicians, whose creative styles incorporate blues, roots, and international sounds.

In July, hear music by esteemed saxophonist and woodwind multi-instrumentalist Gene Ghee, who has performed with acclaimed musicians such as Jack McDuff, Jimmy McGriff, and Etta Jones. Ghee is also an award-winning educator, horn contractor, and recording artist. Iced teas, loose leafs, and small bites are available for purchase from Bed-Stuy–based Brooklyn Tea.

In August, vocalist Ghanniyya Green performs a jazz set with her band. Known as a singer’s singer and a listener’s delight, Green has performed in jazz clubs throughout the city and across radio, television, film, and theater. Experience what the American Review of Jazz and Blues calls “a Diva’s sense of high drama.”
