Museum on Wheels: Bed-Stuy

Saturday, September 13, 2–6 pm

Join us for a block party celebrating environmentalist Hattie Carthan, founder of the Magnolia Tree Earth Center in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn! Carthan is remembered as a passionate advocate and visionary who understood the profound impact of green spaces on urban life.

Head to our mobile museum to create art inspired by nature and engage with touchable selections from our collection of teaching objects—plus plenty of other fun. All ages are welcome to enjoy art-making, games, music, and tasty giveaways from Saint Michel Café and Bakery, Island Pops, and Brooklyn Tea.

Can’t make this one? Follow our route across Brooklyn and subscribe to our newsletters to see where Museum on Wheels is headed next!

Free and open to the public. Space is limited for all art-making activities; first come, first served.

This program is created in partnership with The Magnolia Tree Earth Center, Global Hands, and The Laundromat Project.
