A Close Look (Ages 65+): Monet and Venice

Tuesday, December 9, 11 am–12:30 pm

Older adults (ages 65+) are invited to immerse themselves in Claude Monet’s paintings of Venice, a city he said was “too beautiful to be painted,” and portrayals of the city by other artists of his time. Explore Venetian architecture, color, light, and life in the early 1900s.

Held while the Museum is closed to the public, these fully accessible tours are thoughtfully paced with special features such as music and poetry, as well as close looking and conversation about art.

Free; registration is required.
