Brooklyn Mornings: Nancy Elizabeth Prophet
Tuesday, May 27, 11 am–12:30 pm
Individuals with memory loss and their care partners are invited to explore Nancy Elizabeth Prophet: I Will Not Bend an Inch. Connect with Prophet’s emotionally nuanced portrait sculptures in wood and stone. Spotlighting Black, Indigenous, and female subjects, these works showcase the underrecognized sculptor’s dedication to her practice in the face of poverty and isolation. Then, express yourself through art-making, and relax and enjoy one another’s company.
Free; registration is required.
