Brooklyn Mornings: Consuelo Kanaga

Tuesday, June 24, 11 am–12:30 pm

Individuals with memory loss and their care partners are invited to explore Consuelo Kanaga: Catch the Spirit. Kanaga employed a powerful visual language in her black-and-white photography to provoke thought and foster empathy. As she put it, “Most people try to be striking to catch the eye. I think the thing is not to catch the eye but the spirit.” After exploring the exhibition, express yourself through art-making, and relax and enjoy one another’s company.

Free; registration is required.
