The Brooklyn Museum Announces Public Programs in July for Visitors of All Ages
A variety of programming welcomes community members to the Museum
The Brooklyn Museum announces its jam-packed lineup of July programming, with intimate concerts in our Summer Jazz series, a Pints and Prints tied to our Hiroshige exhibition, and Yoga on the Stoop. Additional programs include classes, tours, and special events that amplify the Museum’s exhibitions and collections, serve the surrounding community, and support learning through the visual arts.
Museum Members enjoy complimentary or discounted tickets and early access to public programs.

Brooklyn Pop-Up Market
Sundays, July 7–28, 10:30 am–5:30 pm
Cantor Plaza, 1st Floor
This event is free and takes place outdoors (rain location: Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor).
Stop by our market to shop one-of-a-kind, handmade items created by artisans and vendors from across Brooklyn, featuring artwork, jewelry, fashion, home and apothecary goods, and more.
Art History Happy Hour: Paul McCartney Photographs
Thursday, July 11, 7–9 pm
Rubin Pavilion and Lobby, 1st Floor
Tickets are $30 and include one specialty drink and after-hours admission to Paul McCartney Photographs 1963–64: Eyes of the Storm.
Enjoy a specialty drink and short lectures inspired by Paul McCartney Photographs 1963–64: Eyes of the Storm, which features more than 250 photographs taken by McCartney at the height of Beatlemania.
Yoga on the Stoop
Saturdays, July 13 and 20, 10–11 am
Cantor Plaza, 1st Floor
Tickets are $20 and include Museum general admission.
Meet us on the plaza steps for a morning of yoga and meditation, open to all levels and led by local instructors. Open your hips and your heart in this gentle flow class, followed by a guided meditation to start off your weekend.
Weekend Art: Saturday Sketch Club

Draw inspiration from Paul McCartney’s photographs! At these all-ages, drop-in programs, held on select Saturdays, check out the exhibition Paul McCartney Photographs 1963–64: Eyes of the Storm. Then, learn about drawing techniques and create your own sketches inspired by the works on view.
Pints and Prints: Hiroshige and Murakami
Thursday, July 18, 7–9 pm
Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor
Tickets are $35 and include after-hours admission to Hiroshige’s 100 Famous Views of Edo (feat. Takashi Murakami), a complimentary drink, and a Brooklyn Museum tote. Art materials are provided.
Grab a brew and create your own art prints with Japanese gyotaku techniques, inspired by Hiroshige’s 100 Famous Views of Edo (feat. Takashi Murakami). This workshop is led by teaching artist Sato Yamamoto.
Stroller Tours: Hiroshige
Fridays, July 19 and 26, 10–11:15 am

Tickets are $32 (per family; 1 adult, 1 child) and include Museum general admission.
Enjoy an interactive, stroller-friendly tour of Hiroshige’s 100 Famous Views of Edo (feat. Takashi Murakami). Designed for children up to 24 months old and their caregivers, this baby-friendly program features touchable objects, songs, exploration of artworks on view, and an opportunity to connect with other adults.

Calling all NYC interns, emerging arts professionals, and those interested in the museum field! Join a full day of in-person programming at the Brooklyn Museum’s fourth annual Intern Convening. Museum interns will facilitate conversations and activities analyzing the current state of cultural institutions.
Summer Jazz: Patsy Grant

Free and open to the public.
Stop by the Museum’s lobby for performances by some of the city’s best musicians. July’s concert features Patsy Grant, a soulful song interpreter cherished in the Brooklyn jazz world for her spirited performances.
