Art Explorers (Ages 4–6)

Discover the world through art, play fun gallery games, and create your own masterpieces in the studio. Whether sketching stone creatures in our Sculpture Garden or hunting for ancient materials in our Egyptian galleries, you and your child (ages 4–6) will experiment with mediums and create meaningful projects together.

Fall I: In the Moment
Sundays, October 13–27, 11 am–12:30 pm
Education Studios, 1st Floor
Explore how to use your own artwork to highlight the people and moments that are important to you. This fall, we’ll learn about artists such as Elizabeth Catlett and those represented in the new American Art reinstallation, whose works showcase milestones for their communities.
Fall II: Artistic Craft
Sundays, November 17–December 8 (except December 1), 11 am–12:30 pm
Education Studios, 1st Floor
Investigate how to use design and craft to make one-of-a-kind artworks. We’ll focus on works in the exhibition Solid Gold and our Arts of the Islamic World collection, looking at techniques and materials used to create timeless crafts.
